Cara Richards-Tutor, Ph.D. is a Professor in Special Education at California State University, Long Beach. She taught in California public schools and worked as an intervention specialist for both academic and behavior support. Her research and publications mainly focus on reading and math interventions and assessment for English learners, particularly within multi-tiered systems of support. She also has expertise in effective models of teacher preparation, specifically developing school-university partnerships, clinical practice, and dual credential programs.
Colleen W. Torgerson, Ed.D. is a Professor Emerita of Special Education at California State University, Fresno. Her career spans public school teacher and administrator in Special Education, and university professor and administrator in teacher preparation. She has expertise in designing programs for preparing general and special education teachers, residency preparation programs, maximizing school-university partnerships, leadership in education, inclusive strategies, and student-directed IEP meetings.
Andrea G. Zetlin Ed.D. is a Professor Emerita in the Division of Special Education and Counseling at California State University, Los Angeles. Her professional expertise includes designing programs for preparing special education teachers, developing strategies which address barriers to student learning, developing effective models for school-university-community alliances to improve outcomes for high-risk students, and identifying and supporting the educational needs of children and youth in foster care.
